Whether you're setting up for a new puppy, replacing a worn-out cat bed or kitting out a fish tank, the pet supplies shop you choose makes a difference. A good shop makes it easy to find the right item, tells you exactly what you're getting, and sorts things out quickly if something isn't right.
This page covers what to look for when you buy pet supplies online, then gives you a quick tour of our range by pet, so you can go straight to what you need.
What to Look for in a Pet Supplies Shop
When you're comparing places to buy pet supplies online, these are the things that matter most once the parcel arrives.
A Range That Covers Your Pets
If you have a dog and a cat (or a budgie and an aquarium), it's handy to shop in one place. Look for a range that covers the everyday categories: beds, toys, collars and leads, bowls and feeders, grooming, carriers and litter. A broad range also lets you combine items into a single order.
Clear, Specific Product Information
Photos only tell part of the story. The best place to buy pet supplies online is one that lists the details you actually need to choose:
- Real dimensions, not just S, M or L.
- Materials, so you know whether a bed is washable or a toy is rubber or plush.
- Who it suits, such as "small and medium-sized dogs" or "cats up to a certain weight".
- What's in the box, including whether batteries or accessories are included.
If a listing is vague about size or materials, it's worth contacting the shop before ordering.
Fast, Reliable Dispatch
When your dog has chewed through their lead or the cat's litter tray has cracked, you don't want to wait. Check how quickly a shop dispatches orders and how delivery works for your area. Bagaton offers same-day dispatch, and orders over $50 ship free within Australia. You can read the details in our shipping policy.
A Fair Returns Policy
Pets have opinions. A bed can be the wrong size, or a cat can simply refuse a new toy. A clear returns window gives you room to try things at home. Bagaton accepts returns within 30 days; see our refund policy.
Real Support
Before you buy from any online pet store, check that there's an easy way to ask questions about sizing, an order or a return. You can reach us through our contact page.
Honest About What It Sells
A good shop is clear about what it does and doesn't stock. For example, Bagaton specialises in supplies and accessories and doesn't sell pet food, so you'll find bowls and feeders here but not the food that goes in them.

Travel and Everyday Essentials
Some supplies work across pets:
- Carriers: The Travel-Friendly Pet Carrier Bag has a space-capsule design in S, M and L sizes for vet visits and trips. More options are in carriers and crates. If you're flying, check your airline's carrier requirements first.

How to Order Quickly
If you know what you need, a few steps will get you there fast:
- Start with the collection for your pet (dog, cat, bird or fish).
- Check the size and materials in each listing against your pet.
- Add everything to one order, since orders over $50 ship free.
- Check items when they arrive. If something isn't right, you have 30 days to return it.
